Slovarji založbe DZS

Slovarji DZS is a collection of electronic dictionaries published by the DZS publishing house. Dictionaries allow for two types of search: fast search by entry list, and full search used for direct searching of entries as well as descriptions of entries. The two methods can be combined.

This resource is provided by Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana.

The collection includes the following dictionaries:

Slovene Normative guide, 2001
The Slovene Normative Guide 2001 contains over 130,000 headwords and could be called a manual of modern Slovene.

Dictionary of the Standard Slovenian Language
This dictionary was published by DZS d.d. and created in cooperation with SAZU and ZRC SAZU, the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language, and various authors. It contains 110,000 entries and sub-entries.

Comprehensive English-Slovenian Dictionary
A dictionary by the DZS d.d. publishing house and authors Grad, Škerlj, and Vitorovič that contains around 80,000 entries and sub-entries.

Slovene-English Dictionary
A dictionary by the DZS d.d. publishing house and authors Grad and Leeming that contains around 45,000 entries and sub-entries.

Veliki nemško-slovenski slovar (second revised edition)
Second (revised) edition of this dictionary by the DZS d.d. publishing house and author Debenjak contains around 126,000 headwords. The dictionary complies with the new German spelling.

Veliki slovensko-nemški slovar (second revised edition)
This dictionary by the DZS d.d. publishing house and author Debenjak contains around 100,000 headwords. The dictionary complies with the new German spelling.

Veliki italijansko-slovenski slovar
This is a bilingual dictionary (author Šlenc, Publisher DZS d.d., Založništvo literature) containing around 70,000 entries and sub-entries from the modern Italian language.

English-Slovene and Slovene-English Business Dictionary
This is a business language dictionary intended for all those dealing with economics.

Nemško-slovenski in slovensko-nemški poslovni slovar
This is a business language dictionary intended for all those dealing with economics communicating in the German language.

Francosko-slovenski in Slovensko-francoski slovar
This electronic dictionary combines two existing book-form dictionaries, namely the French-Slovene dictionary by Anton Grad and the Slovene-French dictionary by Viktor Jesenik and Narcis Dembski.

Srbski- ali Hrvaško-slovenski and Slovensko-hrvaški ali -srbski slovar
These two dictionaries (in a single package) are intended for all those who need to translate texts from Slovene to Croatian or Serbian and vice versa. This is a reprint of these comprehensive dictionaries by Janko Jurančič in electronic form.

Špansko-slovenski and Slovensko-španski slovar
The electronic version combining two existing dictionaries by Anton Grad facilitates detailed and faster learning of the Spanish language and is a must for a modern user.

Angleško-slovenski pravni slovar
The glossary of the English-Slovene legal dictionary is based on British and American legal lexicons and other foreign literature and Slovene material.

Slovensko-angleški pravni slovar
The Slovene-English legal dictionary presents the terminology of the Slovene Constitution, Constitutional Court Act, legal theory, and some other acts of key importance in the Slovene legal system as well as selected terminology from the decisions of the Constitutional Court.

Tehniški metalurški slovar (Slovene-English-German)
This dictionary in electronic form is an updated version of the dictionary published by Mladinska knjiga in 1995. The dictionary contains 10,000 headwords in the fields of metallurgy, technical materials, technology of surfaces, methods of analysis, mechanical engineering, chemistry, electrotechnology, ecology, standardization, regulations, economics, and the use of computer science in technological procedures.

Nemško-slovenski avtomobilistični slovar
This German-Slovene dictionary by Majda Gregorka contains 14,000 headwords covering the field of automobilism and some terminology from the fields of electrotechnology, chemistry, computer science, and informatics.
