SCImago Journal & Country Rank

SCImago Journal & Country Rank is a freely accessible portal that includes bibliometric data on scientific journals and countries. Scientific indicators draw their data from the Scopus (Elsevier) collection of citation indexes. The portal offers many indicators of scientific publications and displays them in the form of tables or graphs that can be exported to MS Excel tables. The main bibliometric indicator is the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) that measures the prestige of scientific journals. Individual journals can be searched by title, publisher, or ISSN; lists of journals (with data) can be retrieved on the basis of the Scopus subject areas (27) or categories (313), which can be ranked by various criteria. Similarly, we can retrieve lists of countries; a graphic interface facilitates searching for data on individual countries. The portal allows for the elaboration of analyses and graphical presentations of indicators of scientific journals, subject areas, or countries. Based on a two-year period, the portal can display graphical presentations of the cited network and bubble charts for the presentation of bibliometric data on individual countries.
