  • ScienceDirect is a collection by a world leading e-journal publisher - Elsevier. Coverage includes all scientific fields with an emphasis on natural sciences, technology and medicine. Users of the University of Ljubljana have access to journals from the so-called Freedom Collection, containing almost all of the journals of the ScienceDirect service - around 2,000 titles. The subscribed journals are accessible from 1995 onward, or starting from the subscription date with an additional five previous issues. Unsubscribed titles are accessible for the last five years (current volume plus four previous volumes). In addition to that, UL users can access around 780 selected titles of e-books, three collections: Advances in Applied Mechanics, Advances in Computers, and Advances in Heat Transfer, as well as nine encyclopaedias: Comprehensive Composite Materials, Encyclopedia of Energy, Encyclopedia of Information Systems, Encyclopedia of Materials Science & Technology (EMSAT), Encyclopedia of Vibration, Comprehensive Microsystems, Encyclopedia of Biological Chemistry, Encyclopedia of Food Microbiology, and Encyclopedia of Food Sciences and Nutrition.
