Eigenfactor is a freely accessible web resource that provides an insight into bibliometric data on scientific journals. The data is provided by the Journal Citation Records (JCR), i.e., Web of Science. The main bibliometric indicators are Eigenfactor Score (importance of a journal to the scientific community) and Article Influence Score (the average influence of articles in the journal in the first five years after publishing, which is comparable to the traditional impact factor). Scientific journals can be searched by category, publication year, or title of journal. Titles of science journals can be accessed in the Cost Effectiveness search section, which offers an insight into the importance of a scientific journal relative to the cost as well as to the total impact of the journal.
