  2. biblos

    Category: Literature    Type: Electronic Books Literary Texts

    Biblos is intended for library circulation and acquisition of original Slovene fiction and professional literature and works translated to the Slovene language. Members of the National and University Library have access to the basic collection of older Slovene fiction and professional publications in a variety of fields. The list of technical e-books will be further expanded relative to the contents available in biblos and demand from users.

    To register at biblos you need your NUK membership card number and password, which is the same you use in the NUK catalogue system and registration at the My Library service (COBISS). Details on borrowing e-books are available at http://www.biblos.si/lib/kako-deluje.

  3. Climate Change and Law Collection

    The Resource is available in a trial period untill 15th June 2017.

    This comprehensive collection of climate change and law documents contains original source, non-edited and non-redacted “grey literature”, centered on climate change and the law. Incorporated in the category of ‘law’ is any discipline of law which addressed climate change, including corporate law, environmental law and human rights law. This collection is edited by the Human Rights Internet (HRI) http://hri.ca/, in Ottawa, Canada and is updated annually.

Gradivo na DBpia prihaja s področij humanistike (zgodovina, religija, filozofija, lingvistika, literatura ipd), družboslovja (ekonomija, turizem, izobraževanje, pravo, bibliotekarstvo, novinarstvo, psihologija ipd), naravoslovja (fizika, biologija, matematika, astronomija ipd), inženirstva (arhitektura, strojništvo, industrija, materiali ipd), medicine (splošna medicina, zdravstvo, farmacija, dentalna medicina, veterina ipd), tudi oceanografije, vede o hrani, gozdarstva, kmetijstva, krajinske arhitekture, umetnosti in športa, znanosti in tehnologije, nevroznanosti in kognitivnih znanosti.     The Digital Book Index is used to search for e-books mostly in the English language. It provides links to over 165,000 books, more than 140,000 of which are freely accessible. It allows searching by various criteria and browsing through topic categories. The books are available in a variety of formats (pdf, for Kindle . . .) where possible.

    The Directory of Open Access Books is used to search academic peer-reviewed books. It offers peer-reviewed titles from different scientific fields. It provides free access to full-text from more than 5.900 books. Users can search by title, topic, and words from bibliographic records on books and by bibliographic data on books: author, title, abstract, key words, etc.

  7. eBook Academic Collection (EBSCOhost)

    The E-Book Collection offered by EBSCOHost contains more than 141,000 e-books in the fields of the humanities, social sciences, medicine, natural sciences, and technology. Most of the books can be borrowed (instructions) to portable devices such as tablet computers, dedicated readers, and/or smart phones. Most of the books offer unlimited simultaneous user access. A small fraction of the books, about 370 purchased to own by the University of Ljubljana libraries, can only be used by a single user at a time. The collection is completely integrated with the NUK mEga search engine.

    Users may print out and/or send in pdf format to their email address up to 60 pages of individual books. Users can search inside a book by individual words, and an English-Slovene dictionary is available.

    The EBook Business Collection is designed to search for, read, and borrow over 10,000 e-books in the fields of management, marketing, finances, business sciences, and communication as well as research and projects from the above mentioned fields by noteworthy publishers (Oxford University Press, University of Chicago Press, Entrepreneur Press, American Management Association, Wiley, . . .).

    Users may print out and/or send in pdf format to their email address up to 60 pages of individual books. Users can search inside a book by individual words, and an English-Slovene dictionary is available.

    Registered users with their own accounts can borrow e-books for a certain period to their portable devices. The free Adobe Digital Editions program must be installed to read the borrowed books.

  9. IEEE Xplore Digital Library

    The IEEE Xplore portal provides access to the complete offer of the IEEE/IET Digital Library (IEL). It provides access to over 3 million full-text documents from some of the world's most highly cited publications in electrical engineering, computer science, electronics, and ICT, including with valid IEEE – SA Standards. Full-text articles from 400 titles (200 currently accessible) of journals, discussions and reports, and conference proceedings from over 1,200 IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) annual conferences from 1988 onward are accessible, as well as selected documents from 1893 onward. The IEL library allows viewing over 2,200 valid IEEE standards and provides access to full-text documents from over 3,100 conference proceedings and over 1,000 e-books. Access to the collection is limited to 11 users at a time.

    OECD iLibrary enables searching for and reading full texts of all publications published by OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) from 1998 onward. It offers over 10,100 e-books, 3,800 articles, reports, and newspapers, etc. In addition, it allows viewing statistical data collections of OECD, the International Energy Agency (IEA), the Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), the OECD Development Centre, PISA (Program for International Student Assessment), and the International Transport Forum (ITF).
    OECD publications and statistical data collections cover economic and social fields for 34 member countries of OECD as well as non-member countries (China, India, South American countries, Russia, etc.). Coverage includes banking, taxes, energetics, education, agriculture and food production, macroeconomy, migration, direct investments, environment and sustainable development, commerce, development, science and research, social spending, telecommunications, insurance, employment, healthcare, etc.
