NCJRS Abstracts Database (Unlimited Access)

The NCJRS Abstracts Database is used to search for scientific and professional literature in the fields of criminal law and criminology including topics such as enforcement of criminal sanctions, courts of justice, crime prevention, drugs, juveniles, police, statistics, technology, victims, and more.
The database contains bibliographic descriptions with abstracts of around 210,000 publications including reports from US official authorities, books, research reports, articles, etc., from 1960 onward. There are articles selected from 105 scientific and professional journals.
The NCJRS Virtual Library is used for searching the publications of the US federal government’s institutions including the U.S. Department of Justice, the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, the National Institute of Justice, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, the Bureau of Justice Statistics, the Bureau of Justice Assistance, and the Office for Victims of Crime. Topics covered include full texts from around 7,000 publications.
